BEAM (PDF)
4 players on two 5 octave marimbas (or one 5 oct + one 4.3 oct)
duration: ca. 9’
program note: “BEAM” is an exploration of the association between intervals and their affect on the brightness of sound. Using three major triads (A, E, and B), “BEAM” oscillates between bright fifths and dark fourths. It weaves through different combinations of these chords layered on top of one another forming an ever-changing cloud.
a digital download of score and parts will be available immediately after purchase.
